Aim of the Flyspray project

Flyspray was initially born out of the need for a bugtracker with Jabber notification support, but has since become much more than that. Here is what we consider our main aims with this project:

Flyspray has always had a simple and intuitive interface, and we want to keep it this way. New features should never clutter the interface, or make Flyspray more complex to use. Reporting bugs and updating tasks should always remain as easy as possible. Administration pages can be slightly more complex, but will remain uncluttered and simple to navigate.

Security is a top priority, user input should always be checked before peforming any actions on it. As much as we'd like to think of Flyspray users as trustworthy and reliable, script-kiddies will always be out there. We really don't want Flyspray to end up on BugTraq. Flyspray's layout and style is easily changed to suit a site admin's needs, simply by editing the theme.css file. It will be even more customisable soon, when the code is seperated out into HTML templates.
